“As the president of the Texas Academy, I have always served on the premise that we are only as strong as what we are willing to give individually. Our profession has come so far in the last 100 years, and I cannot be more proud to be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. There is no better way to show my pride than to contribute monetarily to our future. I am thrilled to be an individual donor at the Leader level, and I am elated that our Texas Academy Board agrees with me in our active participation with the affiliate challenge. The Texas Academy knows that the Second Century Initiative will revolutionize our impact on the public going forward in the field of food and nutrition. We are honored to be part of such a monumental time in our profession’s history,”
Support from Academy Affiliates, DPG’s and MIG’s is essential for the success of the Second Century Campaign to help create awareness amongst its membership and raise funds at a grassroots level. The Second Century Campaign is focused on funding nutrition solutions to create a healthy, thriving world. It builds on the Foundation’s 50-plus years of success supporting credentialed food and nutrition professionals, accelerating efforts and providing opportunities nationally and on the global stage. Donations, not member dues, support the Foundation. All Academy members are encouraged pledge their support for the future of our profession and make a gift today!
