*These Academy Groups have established named Diversity Scholarship Funds with the Foundation to provide annual scholarships for members of underrepresented populations within the nutrition and dietetics profession.


Through philanthropy, the Foundation aims to empower current and future food and nutrition practitioners to optimize global health. Since 1979, specific Foundation awards and scholarships have been made available for diverse individuals within the field of dietetics. The portfolio of funds established for these purposes has continued to grow since that time. While these individuals are eligible and encouraged to apply for all Foundation funding opportunities, criteria for the following focus on supporting diverse members. With the help of these funds, and my part-time work at the Women, Infant, Children Program (WIC), I will finish my program debt free, I’ll be able to continue working in a setting I enjoy, and I will be ready to spend my time on advocacy and helping diversify and grow the field.
