The Academy Foundation, through its Fellowship and Future of Foods programs, has invested in the creation of several dietetics curricula that are available to educators and preceptors for free thanks to the generosity of the donors who supported them.
Food Insecurity/Food Bank Concentration
The activities are designed to help interns develop the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry level RDN position in a food bank, and provide the intern with experiences in nutrition education, food bank management and food systems. The concentration includes 12 activities to be completed within 120 practice hours. Support for this project was funded through a grant from National Dairy Council.

Nutrition in Food Retail: A Curriculum for Dietetic Students and Interns
The curriculum was designed to be implemented in food retail settings and prepares graduates for careers in food retail. The Nutrition in Food Retail curriculum includes 3 rotations and 15 program activities with detailed instructions for implementation, assigned ACEND competencies, suggested reading and training, and a reflection assignment. This project was part of the Foundation's Nutrition in Food Retail Program Development Fellowship. Support for this project was funded through a grant from Walmart.
Sustainable Food Systems Curriculum
The SFS Curriculum and Guide are designed to provide dietetic interns and students with strong foundational knowledge in the nutritional, social, environmental, and economic dimensions of sustainable food systems. This project was part of the Foundation’s Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems Fellowship. Support for this project was funded through a grant from National Dairy Council.

Sustainable Food Systems Primer for RDNs and NDTRs
This primer was created to answer the question, "What should a practitioner of nutrition and dietetics know about sustainable food systems?" This resource is suitable for both credentialed nutrition and dietetics practitioners (RDNs and NDTRs) and for students and interns. Outside of dietetics, it may also be of interest to students and practitioners in food systems, nutrition, and public health more broadly. This project was part of the Foundation's Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems Fellowship. Support for this project was funded through a grant from National Dairy Council.
