The Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit, and although we are affiliated with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, we do not receive any portion of member dues, relying solely on donations to thrive.
Over the last three years, we have awarded nearly $4.3 million to 1,300 recipients and funded important research that continues to move the profession forward.
There are many ways you can donate to the Academy Foundation. Individual donors can make a gift and designate their gift to any of the following funds:
Your gift to the Academy Foundation Sustaining Fund provides essential, flexible support, strengthening the Foundation's long-term viability and empowering the people and possibilities that move our mission forward. Any gift of $10 and above is welcomed into the Annual Sustaining Fund Society.
A gift to Research drives innovation in food and nutrition through research and the dissemination of evidence-based outcome.
A gift to the Academy Foundation's scholarship fund gives critical scholarship support for nutrition and dietetics students at all levels of study.

The purpose of the Foundation's Tribute Program is to support Foundation’s fundraising and grant making activities. These gifts will be directed to the Foundation’s annual Fund, unless otherwise specified.

You may request the honorarium check to be made out to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation or donate the sum of the honorarium.
