Our Foundation is holding the inaugural Foundation Give Day (#FNDGiveDay) on Thursday, September 19. A one-day event for RDNs, students, and dietetic interns to support the one Foundation dedicated to our profession. All donations will support our Make It a Million Scholarship Campaign and help to build the next generation of food and nutrition professionals. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for this effort on September 19. We are asking all Academy members to help us reach our goal.
THREE WAYS YOU CAN HELP!
- Give: on September 19 and join your fellow Academy members who will come together that day to support our profession with big and small gifts.
- Register as a Fundraiser: on our Foundation Give Day website so you can post, email and text your network to invite their support.
- Spread the Word: Post a short message on your social media:

Academy Foundation Commission on Dietetic Registration Research Grants
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation and Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) has a long history of working together to develop the next generation of food and nutriton professionals by investing in scholarships, awards and grants. We are extremely grateful CDR’s long standing commitment to our organization and the profession.
Our Foundataion is currently accepting applications for two research grants that will provide funding for up to ten projects. These grants aim to stimulate innovation and discovery in nutrition and dietetics science by providing funding for emerging researchers and program directors or faculty members of ACEND-accredited educational programs who oversee ongoing research within their programs.
CDR Emerging Researcher Grant:
The Emerging Researcher Grant aims to accelerate the professional development of emerging registered dietitian nutritionist researchers. Submissions where research outcomes may be used as pilot data for future investigations, or submissions that build on existing investigations, are encouraged. Five submissions will be awarded $10,000 each.
CDR Student-Faculty Collaborative Research Grant ($5,000 each):
The Student-Faculty Collaborative Research Grant aims to support the professional development of as many emerging researchers as possible by funding program director- and faculty-led research. The grant is intended for ACEND program directors and faculty who oversee ongoing research within their programs and engage enrolled nutrition and dietetics students who are completing the RD exam eligibility requirements. Five submissions will be awarded $5,000 each.
Both applications and full eligibilty requirements are currently available within the Foundation’s electronic application portal with deadlines to apply of 10:00 a.m. CT on Monday, November 18, 2024. Any questions should be directed to the Foundation via email at scholarship@eatright.org.
