How did you learn about the availability of Foundation scholarships and what motivated you to apply?
This scholarship will have a tremendous financial impact on my educational journey. Pursuing a master’s degree with supervised experiential learning is incredibly demanding, and balancing full-time work while managing coursework has been challenging. Without this scholarship, I would have had to continue working long hours just to cover tuition, which leaves me little time to focus on my studies.
With this scholarship, I hope to reduce my work hours, giving me the chance to fully dedicate myself to my program and gain the hands-on experience I need to succeed. It will not only relieve some of the financial stress but also allow me to be more present in my education, ultimately enhancing my learning experience.
Without this support, my ability to balance work and school would remain difficult, possibly delaying my progress. This scholarship truly makes a difference in my journey, allowing me to pursue my goals with greater focus and determination. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.

Through Dr. Lacie Peterson, who introduced me to this incredible opportunity. Her encouragement motivated me to apply, as I knew this scholarship would provide the financial support needed to focus more on my studies and experiential learning. The possibility of reducing my work hours to fully immerse myself in my master's program was a significant factor in my decision to apply. I'm grateful for her guidance and this opportunity to further my education.
What advice do you have for other students and professionals who are considering applying for Foundation funding?
Don’t hesitate! If you’re passionate about this field and have a clear vision for your future, this scholarship can help you tremendously. Don’t be afraid to share your personal story and the challenges you’ve overcome—it’s what makes your journey unique.
Scholarship and Award Application and Timeline Information
All applications and timelines for Foundation funding opportunities are made available electronically within the Foundation’s application portal. Generally, the scholarship applications are available from mid- February to mid-April, most award and grant applications are available from December to February, and fellowship opportunities are posted as they become available.
