Understanding Complexity in the Food System
Module 6 explores the “systems” part of “food systems” and shares some basic systems thinking terminology.
Learning outcomes from this module include:
- Defining a complex system.
- Describing at least three characteristics of complex systems.
- Discussing how systems thinking can be used to approach issues in nutrition.
- Providing at least one example of a co-benefit and one example of a tradeoff within the food system.
