Directories of Global Resources and Collaborations for International Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Professionals and Students

The Foundation offers a directory of resources for dietetics students and professionals seeking international opportunities. Opportunities range from University-sponsored international travel experiences focused on community, clinical, and culinary nutrition to scholarship and award opportunities for international students.

The directory also includes descriptions of potential international collaborations in health sciences that may be of interest to dietetics students and professionals. Contact information and general guidelines for numerous organizations that offer financial assistance for studies in the United States and other countries are provided.

Made possible by Alice Adelheid Wimpfheimer, MS, RD, CDN, through the Wimpfheimer-Guggenheim Fund for International Exchange in Nutrition, Dietetics and Management.

If you have any questions, or if you have information about other opportunities that should be listed, please contact Nicci Brown, MS, RDN.

Navigating the Directories:

Opportunities are organized in tables and alphabetized by the sponsoring organization (the first column of each table). The documents can also be navigated by “searching” for a specific term, such as a country or university name.

To search a PDF document, hold the Ctrl (PC) or Command (Mac) key down and press the F key. A search box will pop up on your screen. Type in the term you wish to locate within the document (e.g. “Japan”) and then hit the Enter key. This will highlight every instance of the search term within the document; you may then scroll through the PDF to find targeted programs of interest.
