Remember the Foundation on National Giving Tuesday this November!
For those of you who attended FNCE® 2018 in Washington, DC, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I had the honor of speaking about the Foundation to a dozen different groups there, including DPG and affiliate leaders, the House of Delegates, Fifty-Year Members, Academy media spokespeople, and of course at the Gala. It was heartening to be able to share all the good things that the Foundation is doing, especially through our four new incredible videos that include testimonials from our colleagues who have benefitted from your generosity – scholarship recipients, fellows, and those receiving Disaster Relief Fund disbursements. No one can say it better than those whose lives have been positively affected … because you cared.

We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving again soon, and we can all be grateful that our Foundation touches so many lives and truly makes a difference. This year, Giving Tuesday is on November 27, and we ask that as you donate to your favorite charities, you remember the one devoted to your own profession. I can and will continue to express my thanks to all of you who have donated, but no one said it better than a Foundation/CDR doctoral scholarship recipient who came up to me at FNCE® and said, "I was ready to quit [pursuit of her doctorate], and then the letter arrived saying that I was being awarded a scholarship. It helped me to realize my dream. Thank you."
