FNCE® Foundation Virtual Events – Join us!
This year’s FNCE® as a virtual event is shaping up to be a great one, creating new and exciting opportunities for the Academy, members and the Foundation. Over the years, thousands of Academy members have supported our FNCE® Foundation events and we are so grateful. Your generosity helps us make an impact on our fellow Academy members through our programs that empower current and future food and nutrition practitioners to create a world where all people thrive through the transformative power of food and nutrition. Your generosity enables our Foundation to support dedicated professionals and dietetics students when they need help most.
Although we will miss seeing you in person this year, we have many great virtual events that can provide some fun, exercise and shopping!
- Our FNCE® Foundation Silent Auction is going virtual this year and expected to be bigger than ever, by providing 24-hour, mobile bidding to ALL Academy members! The auction will run from October 15, 2020 (noon Central time) to October 20, 2020 (noon Central time). Sign up today and get a preview of the items in early October by registering here.
- Our FNCE® Foundation Virtual 5K Run/Walk gives everyone the opportunity to unplug from technology and get up and moving, while raising money for the Foundation. Share your experience on social media with the hashtag: #werundietetics. Don’t forget to sign up as part of your FNCE® registration. Event information can be found here.
- Support our No Show Foundation Gala – cocktail attire optional, pajamas preferred! The Foundation relies on Gala proceeds to help fund our programs that make an impact with hundreds Academy members each year. - Contribute to our 2020 FNCE® Student Stipend Program to provide an opportunity of a student to attend 2020 FNCE® – complete information can be found here.
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Fundraiser - Mary Made Jewelry
Here is a great way to support the Foundation while getting gifts for yourself and others. Go online during FNCE® to Mary Made Jewelry and choose from an array of handcrafted earrings, bracelets and necklaces, many with food themes. Use the code ANDF25 and pay 25% less than the usual price. One hundred percent of the sale price will then be donated to the Foundation by Mary Abbott Hess, a former ADA President who has made each one-of-a-kind piece on the website. This website was created to support scholarships for a Boys & Girls Club in Chicago, where Mary volunteers. For one week only, October 14-22, ALL sales will benefit our Foundation and its scholarships. So, give yourself a treat and do your holiday shopping early.
